News from Poland

The News from Poland” project initiated by Gazeta Wyborcza Foundation has been launched on as a new service dedicated to foreigners in Poland. It presents a daily selection of English-language articles and news, especially related to the coronavirus pandemic, written by the editorial team of “Gazeta Wyborcza”.

“The crisis caused by the coronavirus is unprecedented – also because this lethal disease may affect anyone. Guaranteeing access to reliable information during a pandemic is our journalistic duty. In these uncertain times, we want to support everyone – starting from today, with our News from Poland project, we also want to help those with limited access to news due to the language barrier,” says Jerzy Wójcik, Publisher of “Gazeta Wyborcza” and the chair of the Supervisory Board of Gazeta Wyborcza Foundation.

In the News from Poland, foreigners seeking news about the coronavirus pandemic and its influence on everyday life in Poland will find all the necessary information. At the moment, the website contains translated news, as well as informational and educational articles. New articles are added daily.

The section was launched in March 2020 with free access to all Internet users- via the link: or on as News from Poland.

The abuse of power comes as no surprise. With the “News from Poland” service, Gazeta Wyborcza and Gazeta Wyborcza foundation are joining forces to help those with limited access to media coverage about Poland due to the language barrier.
